Overview Physicians and Dentists provide clinical services to patients consistent with their training and expertise. The care of patients is the highest priority in the WellStar Health System.
Responsibilities Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Clinical Practice of Medicine, Surgery, or Dentistry including the care of patients in outpatient or inpatient settings or both.
Documentation of clinical care.
Documentation and tasks necessary for billing and other administrative functions.
Continuing Medical Education required to maintain licensure and Board Certification.
Required for All Jobs
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Qualifications Required Minimum Education
An MD, DO, DMD, or DDS Degree.
Applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Georgia.
Applicants must have completed the necessary Residency training requisite for their specialty and be certified or qualified for certification by their respective specialty Board.
Required Minimum Experience
Previous practice experience in a Residency Training Program.
Prior practice experience, in lieu of Residency Training, is preferred.
Required Minimum Skills
Applicants should possess skills commensurate with their specialty.
Proof of competency for clinical skills applied for will be expected.
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)
Medical Doctor license required.
