Junior Commercial Contracts Lawyer - Construction

Responsibilities : Draft, review, and negotiate construction-related contracts, including AIA forms , contractor / subcontractor agreements, design-build agreements, and project management agreements. Handle real estate overlap matters, such as leases, easements, land use agreements, and property development contracts . Provide clear, business-focused legal advice to project managers, developers, and corporate stakeholders. Collaborate with client legal and operational teams to ensure agreements align with project timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements. Assist in maintaining contract templates, managing contract workflows, and potentially supporting CLM system implementation. Stay current on relevant construction, zoning, and real estate regulations. Minimum Qualifications : JD or equivalent, with active bar membership in good standing. 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with in-house or law firm exposure to construction and / or real estate matters. Strong drafting and negotiation skills with familiarity in AIA forms and related construction documentation. Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred Skills : Experience with both public and private construction projects. Familiarity with real estate transactions tied to construction projects. Exposure to land use, zoning, and permitting processes. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and real estate departments.
