✅ Requirements - Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years in emergency room. Must have experience in Trauma Level 1-3 within the last 2 years. - Common drips: ICU gtts- for hold patients, ICU will come to help with these if able.
📅 Shift Details
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week
Shift Length: 12 hours
Available Shift Options: You can choose any shift or apply all of them all are separate job 0645–1915 Day Shift 1845–0715 Night Shift 12p–12a Evening Shift
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block
Holiday Requirement: Must work 2 of 3 (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) No blocked scheduling; Max 5 days RTO
Modified self-scheduling
Licensure: Must have valid license at submission
Certifications (Required): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
Preferred: TNCC
EMR: EPIC – must be proficient within past 2 years
BSN Required: No
Orientation: 1 day NEO, 1 day EPIC, 1 day on the floor 100-mile radius rule applies
🏥 Unit Information
Beds: 52 beds, including 4 trauma bays
Fast Track: Yes – 6 beds
Triage: Yes – 2 Quick Look areas using ESI
Psych/Seclusion Rooms: None
Patient Volume: ~200/day
Ratios: 1:5 (medical)1:6 (fast track) Common Diagnoses: All emergency types; stroke, STEMI, trauma, etc.
Common Drips: ICU-level gtts for holds; ICU RNs assist if needed
👥 Staffing & Support
Physician & Mid-Levels: Staffed, includes Peds board-certified coverage
Charge Nurse: None dedicated; House Supervisor available
Support Staff:
ED Techs (2+ yrs exp): EKGs, vitals, blood draws, splints
PCAs (under 2 yrs exp): similar tasks
Respiratory Therapy: RT assigned to ER 24/7 Equipment: Glidescope, Hamilton & Phillips vents
Tele/Monitoring: RNs must read own tele; monitor tech also available
Imaging: Dedicated CT/X-ray in ER, transport team available
Phlebotomy: No dedicated phlebotomy; ED techs or RNs draw labs
Floating:
Occasionally to Foothills freestanding ER (15-minute drive) Typically scheduled in advance; infrequent last-minute floating
