Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) Address: 219 S Washington St, Easton, MD 21601 Facility: University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) – MSP
Assignment Duration: 20–26 weeks
Shift: Nights, 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)/ Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays as scheduled
Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,575.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $1,000.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,575.00 Per Week
Requirements
License:
Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of submission
Experience:
Minimum 2 years ER RN experience
Previous charge experience required
First-time travelers accepted
Patient Ratio: 1:4 Charting System: Epic (required) Community Hospital Experience: Required
Travel Experience: Not required
Certifications (AHA Only) BLS (Required) ACLS (Required) NIHSS (Required) CPI (Required – completed on-site during orientation) PALS (Required) NRP* (Preferred) TNCC* (Preferred)
Skills:
Pediatrics (as part of general ER) Medical: Seizures, respiratory infections, sickle cell, UTIs, hyperglycemia, asthma
Psychiatric: Suicidal patients, acute psychosis, managing violent behavior, overdoses
Respiratory: CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, chest tube management
Medications: Emergency meds, IV vasopressors, sedation, paralytics
IV Therapy: Phlebotomy, central line care, starting IVs, blood product admin
Cardiac: EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, multisystem failure
Neuro: CVA
Ortho: Splints
General: Abuse recognition, infections, triage, isolation precautions
