Collins Aerospace is seeking a dedicated Principal Systems Engineer with specialization in Enterprise COTS IT networks and system designs to work in The Starburst Engineering Department, located in Largo, FL. The Principal Systems Engineer will collaborate with System Engineers, Software Engineers, Cyber Engineers, Digital Technology, and Field Services and will support the Lead Systems Engineer; and interact with Project Engineers (Cost Account Managers and Integrated Product Team Leads) and Domain Leads to execute the development and deployment of products and services. Primary responsibilities are the development, implementation and sustainment of requirements for deployed products and services that are in operational and sustainment states. The Principal Systems Engineer will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, including proposal preparation, brainstorming sessions, design, supplier support, qualification testing, failure investigations, and sustaining activities. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and is located onsite in Largo, FL. What You Will Do:

Define and document systems requirements, ensuring alignment with program needs and objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software design, cyber engineers, network engineers, infrastructure engineers, program management, quality, manufacturing and operations. Facilitate requirements workshops and review with stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements. Manage requirement changes and traceability throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain requirements management tools and methodologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment. Provide test areas with parameters for sample testing and specify tests to be performed. Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Support Pursuit & Order capture activities including bidding & estimation efforts for new projects. Travel up to 10% time typically for business and customer meetings/demonstrations, operational field support and system deployments. Qualifications You Must Have:

8+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record. Background in COTS product installation, configuration, integration and system qualification along with full system development life cycle experience Experience in systems engineering functions including operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience. Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer:

DoD 8570 IAT level II (Security + or equivalent). Experience performing system deployments (installation, integration/validation/verification), including travel to customer facilities. Experience with DOORS, CONOPS development, requirements management, cost estimation, Earned Value Management, and Engineering Gate reviews. Practical system engineering experience in product development, integration, deployment, and/or sustainment of COTS systems for the U.S Department of Defense (LINUX OS's, Microsoft OS's and applications). Experience providing mentorship to team members at various career levels (entry, intermediate and senior level). What We Offer:
