Claims Payment Technician
Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Claims Payment Technician to join our North America Finance team. This role will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of claims payment requests. You will work closely with internal and external clients, resolve payment issues, and contribute to special projects that drive efficiency and innovation. Our business, your impact, our opportunity: What you'll be doing: Payment Processing: Ensure timely and accurate payments, address exceptions via the Special Handling claim payment process, and resolve issues like voided transactions and duplicates. Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for payment inquiries for Finance, providing solutions and escalating issues as needed. Work closely with Claim Operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of payment requests. Data Management: Process claim refunds, update vendor information in SAP, and review system reports for accuracy. Special Projects: Support initiatives such as 1099 reporting, vendor master consolidation. Logistics Support: Manage FedEx special handling payments for clients. What you'll bring: Minimum of 1 year experience. Associate degree preferred. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, V-lookups) and familiarity with accounting procedures. Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Salary Range: $55,000
$75,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
