Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Auditor in our Internal Audit team. As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will play a key role in executing internal audits across North American operations, providing independent and objective assessments of business processes and controls. You will have broad exposure to the organization, working closely with management across various business units in both the North American and Bermuda regions. Our business, your impact, our opportunity: What you'll be doing: Support the execution of the internal audit plan, including operational, financial, and regulatory audits Perform financial controls testing and assist with coordination efforts related to external auditors Participate in risk assessments and assist in developing the internal audit plan. Define audit objectives and scope, execute audit procedures, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management Prepare clear, concise audit reports and develop actionable recommendations to enhance operations, controls, and risk management practices Monitor and follow up on the implementation of management action plans, validating the adequacy of remediation efforts Collaborate with internal audit team members across global locations on group-wide audits Foster strong working relationships with business units and promote awareness of internal controls and risk mitigation Collaborate with global audit team members and contribute to data analytics and continuous monitoring initiatives What you'll bring: 4+ years of audit experience, with a preference for backgrounds in insurance, reinsurance, or Big 4 accounting firms Experience in ceded reinsurance and SOX 404 testing preferred Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS is a plus Proven ability to lead audits, communicate complex findings clearly, and build effective relationships with senior stakeholders Critical thinker with strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field desired; CIA, CPA, or CFE credentials preferred Salary Range: $85,000

$130,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
