Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing end-to-end accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence three days a week. Responsibilities

Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all financial reports. Perform detailed general ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries. Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records. Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper accounting for intercompany accounts. Reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate cash flow reporting and compliance. Support cost and inventory accounting processes, providing insights and analysis when needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial operations across all assigned areas. Utilize Great Plains Accounting software to manage financial data effectively. Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for internal and external audits. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting procedures. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience with a focus on detail-oriented tasks. Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger accounting. Strong skills in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations. Experience with intercompany accounting and managing intercompany accounts. Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures and financial reporting. Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software is preferred. Ability to analyze financial data related to cost and inventory accounting is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
