Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Charleston, South Carolina. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity of our accounting operations and ensuring the seamless management of fixed assets. The position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee key financial functions and contribute to ongoing projects within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities

Manage full-cycle accounting operations related to fixed assets, including subledger maintenance and reconciliation. Compile multi-company consolidated fixed asset rollforward reconciliations with exceptional attention to detail. Lead monthly recurring meetings focused on asset operations and project updates. Take ownership of ongoing asset-related projects and conduct annual reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance. Proactively identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and red flags. Execute month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Maintain and manage the fixed asset ledger, ensuring accurate depreciation and inventory tracking. Collaborate with teams to ensure financial statements are consolidated and prepared accurately. Utilize Workday Financial Management tools to streamline accounting processes. Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation as required. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. Demonstrated experience in fixed asset accounting and subledger management. Proficiency in Workday Financial Management and fixed asset accounting functions. Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations. Proven ability to compile consolidated financial statements across multiple entities. Experience in project management and leading recurring operational meetings. Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies with initiative and attention to detail. Audit experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
