Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer

The primary purpose of this position is to provide overall management for program integration/execution requirements for an operational flying aeromedical evacuation squadron. Responsibilities include: Providing administrative oversight of operational unit activities. Overseeing unit aeromedical training programs. Representing the aeromedical evacuation operations function to external agencies. Performing supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Requirements include: U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join. The incumbent must obtain and retain the appropriate security clearance level designated for the position. PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. Males must be registered for Selective Service. Total salary varies depending on location of position. This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program. Position may be subject to random drug testing. Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours. The incumbent may be required to fly in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments (TDY) away from the normal duty station. The incumbent may be required to work uncommon tours of duty with limited/no notice. The incumbent may be required to work overtime to meet workload demands. Qualifications include: One year of specialized experience to the GS-11 or above grade/level or equivalent pay band. Knowledge in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of aeromedical evacuation program operations. Knowledge of Aeromedical Evacuations mission, command relationships, operational concepts, contingency, mobility, and plans requirements. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; computer skills to generate data in spreadsheets and reports. Business acumen to ensure organizational mission accomplishment. Ability to manage/coordinate health services programs. Comprehensive knowledge of Air Force, DoD, and civilian sector operational health care systems. Knowledge of medical readiness planning and training requirements and administrative staff functions. Other significant facts include: This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer position. This is an AFRC key management position. This position is designated as a mobility position. The incumbent must possess demonstrated leadership and managerial abilities.
