This position will lead and manage the Turnpike Technology Support team throughout Florida's Turnpike including North and South Turnpike, responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of desktop technology equipment at all Turnpike facilities and remote locations. Through cooperation, coordination and collaboration among the OneFDOT team, you will be contributing to a strong and empowering culture of TRREC: Trust, Relationships, Respect, Empowerment, and Communication. Through our agency's learning management system, you have access to hundreds of computer-based training and instructor-led courses. Leads and manages the Turnpike Technology Support team throughout Florida's Turnpike including North and South Turnpike, responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of desktop technology equipment at all Turnpike facilities and remote locations. This includes configuration of the systems, loading of software, planning & maintaining records of all new installations resident on the Turnpike Enterprise networks and systems; Coordinates all activities involving responding, addressing, resolving, and escalation of reported technology service or usability issues. The successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of: supervisory and managerial techniques, computer operations procedures and systems, governmental information technology policies and procedures, FDOT budget categories, principles and processes for providing customer services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Skills in: communicating business and technical information effectively to information technology personnel and non-technical personnel, customer service. Ability to: understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, identify and define user enterprise network needs, work independently, determine work priorities, assign work and ensure proper completion of work assignments, receive and give constructive criticism, establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, develop and maintain information systems documentation in accordance with the Department's standards, process information logically and solve problems, supervise, motivate, develop, and direct staff, identify and define user task needs and/or conduct short and long-range project planning studies, lift up to 45 lbs. Overnight and regular travel within Orange, Osceola, Polk, Hillsborough, and surrounding counties are required. Occasional Travel to Panhandle, Fort Pierce, and Palm Beach County. The incumbent must be available during off-duty hours.
