The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to support the operations of Enrollment Services. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. Under the direction of the NSHE Specialist II, this role provides comprehensive administrative support across all Enrollment Services departments. The Administrative Assistant 3 plays a key role in advancing strategic initiatives by managing day-to-day operational functions including: Human resource support Procurement and payment processing Budget tracking and account reconciliation Office operations and inventory management Additional administrative tasks as assigned Key Responsibilities Monitor Enrollment Services accounts, track expenditures, and provide timely budget updates to the Director to aid decision-making. Prepare and submit budget revisions and annual budget requests aligned with division goals. Train administrative faculty on Workday processes, such as time-off requests and expenditure approvals. Instruct departments on purchasing policies to support accurate and timely event planning and payments. Provide backup support to the NSHE Specialist II, including Workday approvals, to maintain continuity of operations. Conduct research and compile reports or briefing materials for the Executive Assistant and Enrollment Services leadership to support informed, strategic decision-making. Required Qualifications Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above. Schedule The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs. Compensation Grade Grade 27 (Entry, Step 01 $22.13/hr.

Step 03 $24.02/hr.) The classified employee pay scale is divided into 10 steps. Most employees start at a step 1 and are eligible for an annual step increase with satisfactory performance, until they reach the maximum, step 10. Initial step placement is based on experience and qualifications. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's qualifications, internal equity and budgets.
