Event Bartender
Perform responsible and legal alcohol service to guests over the age of 21. Hourly rate: $12.00 - $14.00 Duties:
Maintain guest focus while performing all assigned duties before, during or after an event Assume 100% responsibility for quality guests' experience Welcome and greet guests upon entering The Madison & Hotel Covington at all times Provide information about our food, beverages and other functions and services Maintain clean and safe work environment Set up, tear down, and clean banquet areas for events Ready and willing to assist other team members with event duties Handle tables, chairs, linens, tableware and dcor carefully to prevent breakage and loss Always follow safe food handling guidelines Handle payment from guests Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement Performs other event related duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Managers Perform closing financial work and duties Qualifications:
Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members Must be 20 years and 1 day of age Must be able to work weekends Must be Serv-Safe or T.I.P.S certified Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Punctual Energetic and motivated personality Excellent oral communication and listening skills Ability to follow directions Be willing to work until the job is complete and perform other duties assigned Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours) Be able to reach, bend, stoop and safely lift and maneuver trays of food (up to 30 pounds) and move up to 100 pounds with assistance Uniform Requirements:
Black non-slip shoes (must say non-slip on shoe) with black socks Clean black slacks and clean black long-sleeved shirt (provided) Hair must be pulled back and secured tightly Facial hair must be well groomed No visible face or neck tattoos Good personal hygiene Wine keys Additional Guidelines:
Serve guests promptly Notify a Manager or Banquet Captain if bar lines develop Never consume a beverage in front of a guest Do not leave the bar unattended or without permission Check proper identification for all guests requesting alcohol Refuse service to any guests that has consumed too much alcohol Cleanliness You are responsible for the cleanliness of your bar before, during and after the event. This includes what guests see as well as what they may not see. Wipe down shelves before restocking glassware. Soak guns, wipe down bar counters, bar walls, bar front, ice bins, cabinet fronts, any area where drinks may have spilled. You are responsible for breaking down all drink stations including the coffee station and taking out your garbage. Replace garbage bag and wash out can when needed then put can back in your room. Inventory You are responsible for your starting and ending inventory sheets and writing in any items added to your bar during the course of the event. You must count the kegs and check bag-in-the box products before and after your event. You must remove all empty kegs and keep the beer cooler organized. Please do not open more wine bottles than needed. Anticipate your guest count and open a few bottles to get started then as needed throughout the night. Compensation & Schedule: $12.00 - $14.00 hourly Part-time, hours will vary depending on events scheduled
