We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences in an omakase setting. Karma Asian Fusion is opening our first omakase restaurant in Boston's Back Bay. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fine dining and restaurant management in a omakase restaurant (preferred), with a passion for hospitality and customer service. As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of food quality and service, and foster a positive work environment for staff and guests alike.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximize profitability.
  • Implement effective customer service strategies to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and presentation.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Develop relationships with customers and foster a loyal customer base.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Foster a positive team environment by providing support and guidance to staff.

Experience

  • Previous experience in restaurant management in an omakase dining setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary practices and kitchen management is essential.
  • Proven ability to lead a team while promoting a culture of hospitality and customer service excellence.
  • Familiarity with Asian cuisine and omakase dining are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both staff and customers.
  • A background in hospitality management is advantageous but not mandatory.
