Their core functions include defining design direction, collaborating with cross-functional leaders, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Design Vision & Excellence: Develops and communicates a strategic design vision for the product suite, aligning with overall business goals and objectives. Sets and maintains high standards for design quality, ensuring a consistent and exceptional user experience across all products.
- Design System Leadership: Oversees the development and evolution of design systems, ensuring consistency and efficiency in design workflows.
- User Research & Insights: Champions user research initiatives targeted at gathering insights that inform design decisions, user workflow and overall user experience
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design solutions within the product development lifecycle.
- 8-10+ years of experience in product design, with 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role
- Proven track record of successful leadership in a product design capacity.
- Experience in managing design teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Experience with working on consumer-facing products or complex enterprise-level applications.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
