Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Head Girls Wrestling Coach at DHS for the 2025/2026 season.

This position is responsible for all aspects of the Girls' Wrestling Program at Durango High School, including but not limited to:

  1. Supervision, mentoring, and assisting in the evaluation of assistant coaches
  2. Administration of budget
  3. Team supervision and discipline
  4. Care and inventory of uniforms and equipment
  5. Care of facilities
  6. Effective communication with school administration, players, and parents
  7. Involvement with middle school and community-based programs
  8. Fundraising
  9. Practice and competition planning

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid CHSAA Certification, or Colorado Teaching Certificate/License
  • Fundamental knowledge of wrestling
  • Experience working with school-aged athletes/students
  • Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff
  • Current medical injury treatment coursework
