Are you a strategic powerhouse who thrives on both vision and execution? Coefficient Health is seeking a Vice President of Strategy to lead high-impact client engagements and drive strategic initiatives across a flagship account. This role offers a unique opportunity to flex your skills across multiple strategy dimensions and also be the strategic thinking partner to the client.
You’ll be the strategic anchor and relationship steward—guiding clients through complex challenges, owning strategic thinking across workstreams, and collaborating closely with senior leadership to align initiatives with both client goals and agency vision.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Development & Execution
- Design, build, and facilitate customized workshops (e.g., brand planning, brand positioning, customer journey) to inform and shape strategic workstreams and align key client stakeholders
- Lead, author, and deliver a comprehensive suite of strategic outputs , including brand plans, customer insights, competitive landscape assessments, patient journeys, brand positioning, creative briefs, content maps, omnichannel ecosystems, CRM strategy, and learning agendas and analytics / measurement frameworks.
- Direct and manage complex research workstreams— including qualitative and quantitative studies—by designing objectives, writing discussion guides, synthesizing findings, and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Shape the strategic lens that informs and guides creative development and execution , ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives and creative excellence.
- Cultivate and grow senior-level client relationships by acting as a strategic thinking partner across brands and functions.
- Own strategic conversations that uncover innovation opportunities and long-term alignment.
- Anticipate client needs and deliver proactive, high-impact solutions.
- Ensure clear, consistent communication across internal and client teams.
- Navigate complex dynamics and lead challenging conversations with diplomacy.
- Coach and develop mid-level talent in advanced strategic thinking and client partnership.
- Lead performance reviews and guide growth plans for rising strategists and account leads.
- Model effective delegation and provide oversight and feedback across strategic workstreams.
Operational Excellence
- Drive strategic process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Oversee project delivery with a focus on alignment, optimization, and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on resource planning and capability-building.
Organizational Impact
- Contribute to company-wide initiatives around culture, engagement, and operational strategy.
- Lead department-level efforts to foster connectivity, morale, and purpose.
- Ensure departmental work aligns with broader agency priorities and vision.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in a healthcare agency or strategic consultancy.
- Must have healthcare/pharma experience.
- Proven ability to design, lead, and scale strategic initiatives and teams.
- Hands-on experience authoring and executing clear, actionable strategies.
- Strong track record in client leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and project delivery.
- Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal.
- A coaching mindset with a passion for mentorship and team development.
- Comfort with ambiguity and confidence in setting direction across fast-paced, complex engagements.
Note: While this role is posted as VP, Strategy to engage exceptional candidates, the official title within our organization is Director, Client Services and Strategy—reflecting both its seniority and its central role in shaping our client-centric strategic vision.
Position offers competitive pay with benefits based on experience and qualifications:
- The salary range for this role is $180,000-$225,000 per year
- The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at Coefficient Health. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at Coefficient Health, and we encourage you to apply if this range falls outside of your expectations
