Job Description: General Manager
The General Manager plays a very integral and critical role at freecoat. They are responsible for working with the team to provide an exceptional guest experience. They also work with the team to maximize service sales and the growth of our member base. Managers must be proactive by checking guest satisfaction, communicating to the team and delegating tasks, checking service quality, and checking facility safety and sanitation. Strategy, attention to detail, organization, and follow through are very important for this role to succeed. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the store operations and for the strategy and development of their people and communities. General Managers are responsible for leading self, leading others, and leading the organization.

- Skilled in recruiting, training, and supervising new team – hiring, firing, developing, conducting quarterly performance evaluations.
- Develop relationships with local beauty schools. Building a rapport with program coordinators and instructors will allow you to find the best service providers in your area.
- Schedule in a way that allows our guests to experience the fun and greatness of our people.
- Conduct daily pre-shift and monthly team meetings to ensure organizational efficiency.
- Manage labor hours. This is our biggest and best investment – our people.
- Ensures all state board inspections are passed and procedures are followed.
- Produce results that meet or exceed the company’s quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Innovate and create new ideas that will increase business (sales and productivity).
- Track material and supply inventory and place orders.
- Assume full accountability for all P&L results: labor, supply costs, and other variables.
- Optimize profits by controlling supply and labor costs daily.
- Ensure facility and equipment are maintained to company standards.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the beauty and nail industry.
- Adhere to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
- Manage the team and provide them with the resources to execute their role successfully, which includes onboarding, training, and daily/weekly communication to ensure cohesiveness.
- Have weekly touch points with the staff to align on current focuses, provide any feedback from guests while assisting them in the moment, and updating the whiteboard with the weekly Protocol.
- Oversee any client issues that cannot be resolved by the Front Desk Associates/AM.
- Social Media– Post 2-3 times per day to IG stories, following Posting Standards, and engage on all posts. Post 3-4 times per week on IG and Facebook feed.
- Must be able to move fluidly throughout the store helping whenever and wherever needed.
- Responsible for keeping up with staff birthdays, anniversary and all holidays. Prepare suggested budget to owner for staff birthdays, outings, and holiday parties or gifts.
- Ability to be self-aware.
- Must be a high producer in autonomous working situations and a self-motivator.
- Have had prior experience leading small teams.
- Able to easily learn and navigate software systems and maintain records.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Have a moderate to high level of understanding and presence in social media.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized, while having high attention to detail and follow through.
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Can easily identify opportunities for growth and strategies for execution
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
