Under the direction of the District Manager, the General Manager is responsible for attaining sales and profit targets established for Buona Restaurant and Buona Catering Retail.
Duties
- Achieve sales targets
- Recognize all revenue areas & develop strategies to impact sales
- Enforce & execute marketing plans
- Manage and control direct expenses
- Oversee direct labor, food cost variance, repairs and maintenance, discounts, and other direct expenses
- Selection, retention, supervision, and training of all hourly employees
- Conduct quarterly reviews and adhere to established training programs
- Determine employee advancement or termination
- Develop employees into shift managers
- Conduct weekly meetings with Co-Managers to discuss opportunities
- Focus on sales building, staffing levels, labor and food costs, cash management, and building/equipment repairs
- Enforce policies, procedures, and controls
- Evaluate systems & procedures and provide feedback to District Manager
- Be phone accessible for store emergencies
- Implement & communicate advertising and marketing plan opportunities and give feedback
Reporting
- Reports directly to District Manager
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings
