Site Reliability Engineer - Market Connectivity & Infrastructure

A leading quantitative trading firm managing significant global assets is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer specializing in market connectivity to join their infrastructure team. This role offers the opportunity to architect and maintain mission-critical trading systems that operate across diverse asset classes and global markets in a highly collaborative, results-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will design and implement next-generation low-latency trading infrastructure while ensuring optimal system reliability and performance. You'll work closely with trading teams, platform engineers, and operations to deliver scalable solutions that drive competitive advantage in fast-moving financial markets.

What you'll do:

• Design and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using modern automation frameworks and deployment pipelines
• Build comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems for market connectivity platforms using tools like Grafana, InfluxDB, and Splunk
• Deploy and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes while implementing SRE best practices for production environments
• Develop proactive monitoring solutions for latency optimization, system efficiency, and data quality across market access systems
• Partner with development teams on architecture decisions including configuration management, disaster recovery, and capacity planning
• Drive continuous improvement through code reviews, system standardization, and CI/CD pipeline enhancement

Your background:

• Strong Python and shell scripting experience with production system deployment
• Hands-on experience with market connectivity infrastructure, networking protocols, and Linux system administration
• Proficiency with SQL, data storage technologies, and streaming platforms such as Kafka or similar messaging systems
• Proven track record designing scalable infrastructure solutions with focus on simplicity and reliability
• Experience with monitoring tools, alerting systems, and observability platforms
• Knowledge of containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced trading environments
