Senior Python Engineer - High-Performance Trading Systems

A top-tier algorithmic trading firm is seeking an exceptional Senior Python Engineer to join their technology team in building next-generation trading infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work on Low Latency systems that directly power automated trading operations in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

The team operates with sophisticated distributed computing platforms that process massive volumes of market data and execute complex trading strategies. As a Python Engineer, you'll be vital in developing the software backbone that enables their competitive edge in algorithmic trading markets.

What you'll do:

• Design and build scalable Python applications for real-time trading operations and data processing
• Develop monitoring and orchestration tools for large-scale distributed computing environments
• Create robust data pipelines handling diverse market data feeds and analytics workflows
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders to implement high-performance trading tools
• Optimize existing systems and architect new solutions using modern Python frameworks
• Build developer tooling and infrastructure to support engineering productivity across teams

Your background:

• Years of professional Python development experience with deep ecosystem knowledge
• Proven track record building and maintaining production applications from design through deployment
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance optimization, and system architecture
• Experience with Linux/UNIX environments and network programming concepts
• Background in financial services, trading firms, or similar high-performance computing environments preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and passion for writing clean, efficient code
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
