Job Posting: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Consultant (Intermediate/Senior Level)
Vistrada is currently seeking experienced and knowledgeable Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Consultants to join our esteemed team. As an SOA Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing technical leadership and hands-on development of large-scale SOA-based technology solutions. We have openings at both Intermediate and Senior levels, offering candidates with varying levels of experience the opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to our organization's success.
Personnel Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- At least seven (7) years of experience with specific task order technology (for Intermediate level) or at least 10 years (for Senior level).
Capabilities:
- Provide technical leadership and hands-on development of large-scale SOA-based technology solutions provided by vendors such as IBM, BEA, Microsoft, and SUN.
- Strong architecture skills with experience in XML, SOAP, UDDI, J2EE, .Net, WS Security, ITIL processes, SOA Governance, Web Services Management tools, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Hands-on experience with UML, Enterprise Architecture, and XML/Schema documentation tools (e.g., Visio, WebSphere Integration Developer, XMLSpy, Rational Software Architect) for business process and requirements analysis.
- Experience with Enterprise Integration technologies like MQSI, Message Broker v5/v6, WebSphere Process Server, or CrossWorlds; including component administration, message tracking, security configuration, and deployment within a services architecture.
Additional Capabilities for Senior Level:
- In-depth knowledge of specific SOA products and applications.
- Ability to assess operational and technical baselines related to SOA components.
- Support SOA solution delivery, infrastructure decisions, and knowledge of open standards such as Web Services (WS-*), XML, BPEL, SOAP, UDDI, J2EE, and Java.
- Experience with COTS software products for constructing SOA/ESB solutions.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, SOA Governance, and legacy interface mechanisms.
- Experience working with both Windows and Linux systems, open source and standards, SOA Governance, ITIL/Server Consolidation, and Business Modeler Tools.
