Responsibilities include:
- Supervising Job Opportunities Specialists in verifying eligibility for Rental Assistance Unit Subsidy Programs.
- Issuing check requests for broker and landlord payments.
- Approving lease signings, providing keys and signed leases, and troubleshooting issues.
- Ensuring timely payments to landlords and overseeing subsidy renewals.
- Reviewing tenant data entries across various databases and recommending transfer requests.
- Addressing requests from landlords, tenants, and community advocates.
Hours: 9 am to 5 pm
Locations: 3 vacancies at 4WTC, 150 Greenwich Street, NY, NY; 1 vacancy at 109E 16th Street
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience, or
- Baccalaureate degree plus 18 months of full-time experience as a Benefits Opportunity Specialist or related social/human services work.
Additional details include eligibility for the 55-a Program, Public Service Loan Forgiveness, and NYC residency requirements.
