Key Responsibilities
- Clean, process, and structure datasets for fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, digital, and telemarketing channels.
- ELT process development and maintenance, including data pipelines and integrations with client CRMs, internal systems, and other external sources.
- Manage client fundraising campaign data processing tasks such as data deduplication, segmentation, and creating vendor-ready output files.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to refine campaign segmentation and to analyze and validate data from multiple sources.
- Maintain recurring and ad hoc dashboards, reporting, and templates in tools like Power BI for internal teams and clients.
- Ensure high data quality and integrity across all projects, including client-facing reports.
- Support transition from manual to automated data handling processes, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and scalability.
- Assist in onboarding new clients by mapping data sources, documenting processes and business logic, and identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data processing and programming, and data analysis.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases, including writing and optimizing queries.
- Proficiency in Azure, SQL, SSIS, Power BI, Excel, and other Microsoft applications (like Word and PowerPoint).
- Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or other languages) is preferred.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong project management skills—detail-oriented and highly organized, adept at planning and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment—proven experience managing a high volume of projects, can work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
$85,000 – $95,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
This Position can be located in either our Corporate Milwaukee office or our DC office.
Preferred But Not Required
- Experience with nonprofit CRMs (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, Raiser’s Edge, EveryAction).
- Familiarity with direct response marketing and nonprofit fundraising data (e.g., donor databases, source coding, RFM modeling).
- Familiarity with data privacy and compliance frameworks relevant to nonprofit marketing.
- Knowledge of direct mail and digital fundraising metrics and integrated multi-channel campaign reporting.
