Recruitment Consultant – Discovery Research | ML & AI4Science

Title: Head of Machine Learning

As a Founding Machine Learning Researcher , you'll join a small, elite team of AI scientists, drug discovery experts, and seasoned biotech leaders working at the intersection of technology and medicine.

You'll work directly with the founding team, contribute to the scientific direction, and receive founder-level equity -reflecting the impact and ownership expected from early team members.

What You'll Do

Title: Head of Machine Learning

Location: Boston, MA (preferred) OR San Francisco, CA

Salary: $250,000-$350,000

Equity: Founder-level stock

What You'll Do

• Design and implement novel ML architectures for modeling biological sequences, structures, and interactions.
• Analyze large-scale, noisy biological datasets to uncover therapeutic insights.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate models into real drug programs.
• Help shape the company's technical roadmap and research strategy.
  

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent research experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Proven ability to develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models.
• Experience working with high-dimensional biological or scientific data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Significant contribution / impact to AI/ML measured via open source collaborations or works publised in top-tier AI / Scientific venues
