5NINE Data Solutions is seeking an experienced Palo Alto Technical Architect to support a Suffolk County government engagement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and optimizing firewall configurations and delivering updated documentation and diagrams.

• Assess and optimize existing Palo Alto firewall policies
• Review interface configurations and logical segmentation
• Validate and redesign firewall zones and trust boundaries
• Develop detailed documentation and network diagrams
• Work closely with Suffolk County IT leadership and engineers
  

• 8+ years of enterprise network/security architecture experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE preferred)
• Familiarity with VLANs, VRs, interface configs, and segmentation
• Proficiency in Visio or other diagramming tools
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
