Principal Consultant | Head of MEP Recruitment in Texas and Tennessee

Key Responsibilities

• Design plumbing and fire protection systems including:
• Domestic cold and hot water systems
• Sanitary and storm drainage systems
• Natural gas, medical/laboratory gas, grease and acid waste systems
• Prepare detailed drawings, schedules, riser diagrams, and specifications
• Conduct system design calculations and code analysis
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Attend client meetings to understand project requirements and resolve design issues
• Support construction administration including site visits, submittal reviews, and RFIs
• Mentor junior engineers and designers
• Liaise with city officials and fire marshals as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural, Civil, or Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection system design
• Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with Bluebeam, Excel, Word, and Navisworks
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (UPC, IPC, IBC, ASPE, NFPA, LEED, FGI)
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Professional Engineering License or ASPE CPD preferred
• Certifications in Medical Gas design and LEED AP or WELL are a plus
• Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
