About The Role
We are seeking a Technical Revenue Accounting professional to join our Accounting Team. You will execute ASC 606 evaluations, draft revenue accounting memos, and provide strategic guidance on revenue recognition for new products and initiatives. This role involves cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving to impact our financial infrastructure significantly. Join us in building cutting-edge, safe AI.
Responsibilities
- Author detailed ASC 606 technical memos analyzing complex revenue scenarios and providing conclusions.
- Evaluate and establish revenue recognition for new products, including performance obligations and contract modifications.
- Advise stakeholders on revenue implications of new strategies and arrangements.
- Review contracts and prepare documentation to ensure compliance.
- Lead research on emerging revenue recognition issues and present findings.
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and guidance.
- Translate technical requirements into business guidance for non-accountants.
- Prepare for revenue-related month-end activities and flux analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective processes.
- Participate in process improvements and system projects.
You May Be a Good Fit If You
- Have 10+ years of accounting experience with expertise in ASC 606 and complex revenue scenarios.
- Have experience drafting technical memos, position papers, and assessments.
- Possess strong knowledge of ASC 606, including performance obligations and contract modifications.
- Can articulate complex accounting positions clearly and conduct technical research.
- Have hands-on experience with revenue recognition tools like NetSuite ARM, Oracle Fusion, Workday, Zuora RevPro.
- Have proven project management skills and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Strong Candidates May Have
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- Experience with technical advisory work, consulting, or implementation.
- Experience with subscription and consumption-based revenue models.
- Knowledge of AI/ML, SaaS, and tech sector revenue recognition complexities.
Salary Range
$190,000 - $230,000 USD annually.

Location Policy: Hybrid, 25% in-office.
