This hybrid opportunity—just 1 day a week onsite in Norwalk, CT —is ideal for an experienced tax professional seeking flexibility, impact, and a supportive environment. You’ll join a long-standing, small public accounting firm with a reputation for quality and a strong client base of high-net-worth individuals. With a retiring manager transitioning out, this role offers direct access to firm leadership, partner mentorship, and the chance to step into a key position from day one. Enjoy a collaborative culture, with only two months of “busy season” (averaging 50 hours/week) and true work-life balance. Compensation ranges from $150K–$200K base plus bonus.
Responsibilities Of This Tax Manager Role

• Prepare and review individual (1040), partnership (1065), corporate (1120), and fiduciary (1041) tax returns.
• Specialize in high-net-worth individual tax work, with client-facing responsibilities.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
• Collaborate with a retiring manager for a smooth knowledge transfer.
• Mentor and support junior staff, contributing to a strong team culture.
  

Qualifications Of This Tax Manager Role

• 6–7+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Strong background in high-net-worth individual and entity taxation.
• CPA or EA credential preferred, but not required.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client service skills.
• Experience with CCH Access or similar tax platforms is a plus.
