CPA Recruiter Specialising in Tax & Audit

A boutique CPA Firm in Long Island are currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their growing team. Responsibilities:

  • Review individual, corporate, partnership, trust and estate returns and projections
  • Ability to implement strategic tax structures and oversee complex tax computation projects
  • Ability to make recommendations to use technology to streamline client tax and accounting compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of current tax laws and developments.
  • Ability to research federal and state complex tax matters
  • Review financials (SSARS 21, compilations, reviews)
  • Manage, train and mentor staff
  • Full charge coordination of client engagements.
  • Consultation with clients on various business matters including controller support.
  • Ability to oversee Federal, State and Local tax audits

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years recent public tax experience with HNW individuals and mid-sized businesses
  • CPA
  • Must be well organized and have the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize assignments and manage time effectively.
  • High attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills
  • Self starter with ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Proficient with tax and accounting software including Quickbooks
  • Must be tech savvy and have advanced experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • CCH Axcess and Engagement a plus
