Madrigal is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Our first therapy, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), was granted accelerated approval by the FDA for treating adults with NASH with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (stages F2 to F3) and is in Phase 3 trials for NASH with cirrhosis.
Position Overview
The MSL will build scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals and decision makers, serving as a point of contact for scientific and clinical information regarding Madrigal's NASH research. The role involves scientific exchange, supporting educational material development, and collaborating on research initiatives, all while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Establish Madrigal as a leader in MASH and chronic liver disease.
- Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders, investigators, and stakeholders.
- Maintain expertise in MASH and present data to healthcare professionals and academic institutions.
- Support scientific communication, research collaborations, and clinical trial activities.
- Provide scientific training to internal teams and support speaker and advisory board activities.
- Represent Madrigal at medical meetings, facilitate scientific exchange, and gather insights from healthcare providers.
- Respond to medical information requests in compliance with policies.
- Travel approximately 70% for in-person interactions with healthcare providers, with at least 65% of interactions being face-to-face.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in healthcare or sciences (MD/DO, PharmD, PhD, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years postdoctoral, academic, government, or industry experience, preferably in a medical role.
- Strong understanding of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research, especially in hepatic or GI diseases.
- Knowledge of US healthcare system, research procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with technology (Microsoft Office, CRM, video conferencing).
Compensation and Additional Information
