Job Title: Battery Data Engineer

Locations: Sunnyvale, CA

Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Battery Data Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining battery data pipelines, as well as creating Python scripts for data processing and analysis of Raw test data files (Maccor). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of battery chemistry and its electrical characteristics .

Key Responsibilities:

● Design, develop, and maintain battery data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large datasets from various sources

● Create and maintain Python scripts for data processing and analysis of test data files, including data cleaning, filtering, and visualization

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues and improve data quality

● Develop and maintain technical documentation for battery data pipelines and scripts

● Analyze and interpret battery data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement

● Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in battery technology and data engineering

Requirements:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

● 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on battery data analysis

● Proven experience writing and maintaining software for data processing and analysis

● Solid understanding of battery chemistry, charge-discharge cycles, and battery impedance.

● Experience working with large datasets and data pipelines

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to spearhead troubleshooting efforts via ad-hoc data analysis.

● Effective communication and collaboration skills

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team

● Experience with SQL Databases, DAG pipeliens, and data pre-processing including:

● Writing and maintaining data pipelines.

● Creating and managing SQL tables.

● Familiarity with Map-Reduce and other forms of big data aggregation.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

● Experience with data engineering frameworks such as Apache Hive, Apache Airflow, , Spark SQL , or AWS S3 and EC2

● Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js

● Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques

● Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

● Certification in data engineering or a related field
