Job Summary:
Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company delivers high-performance space systems and fosters a collaborative environment for innovation. The Mechanical Engineering Team Lead will manage a team of engineers, focusing on mentorship, functional management, and supporting program work while driving team direction and meeting company goals.
Responsibilities:
• As ETL you will be responsible for working with your team of up to ten engineers to continually develop their skills through feedback, identifying tasking to suit skillsets, and mentorship.
• You will motivate and communicate through regular weekly 1:1 meetings and advocate for them though weekly meetings with the mechanical ETLs in a weekly staffing meeting.
• You will work to mitigate technical and personnel issues and escalate as appropriate the director or HR as needed.
• In addition to continual improvement you will collect and combine annual feedback from peers and make suggestion for compensation and promotion.
• ETLs will identify resource gaps for equipment and support hiring efforts: specifically first round interviews, offers, and 30/60/90 feedback as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Candidates must have experience as REA, project lead, or equivalent.
• Candidates must hold bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering or similar field with a minimum of 6 years work experience.
• Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
• Applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred:
• Well qualified candidate will have 2 years CAM (cost account manager) experience and have previous technical leadership experience - mentoring, determining tasking for others, etc.
