We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects.

This role involves ensuring the successful and seamless execution of construction projects. Responsibilities include assisting management with technical aspects of project management, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Technical support includes participation in construction planning and design, interpreting designs, applying construction methods, resolving design conflicts, conducting constructability reviews, and processing shop drawings. You will also develop and implement project engineering procedures and manage related documents in the Prolog database, including material status reports, RFIs, and meeting minutes.

The position is location-flexible within the US, with a willingness to travel to client projects long-term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Ensure engineering activities support construction schedules and comply with requirements. Provide technical support including construction planning, design interpretation, and shop drawing processing.
  • Budget Management: Monitor expenditure, track financial progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Resource Management: Lead and support project teams, coordinate with on-site departments, and manage subcontractors and work assignments.
  • Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project teams.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person on projects, potentially managing small to medium-sized projects.

Qualifications:

  • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant construction engineering experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, with an understanding of interdependent functional units.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills for cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to implement management strategies to improve project and employee performance.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

  • Strong technical knowledge in construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls, and contracts.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments.
