We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in multifamily construction to take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will lead all aspects of planning, coordination, and execution while acting as the primary liaison between ownership, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical acumen, business savvy, and leadership ability to consistently deliver successful outcomes on complex, ground-up projects in dense, urban environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams through all phases of multifamily construction, from design development and permitting to final turnover
- Oversee all financial aspects of projects including budgeting, forecasting, contracts, and cost controls
- Collaborate closely with Superintendents to manage site logistics, sequencing, and schedule integrity
- Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners
- Drive project meetings with owners and internal teams, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Ensure quality assurance, safety, and compliance are integrated into every phase of the project
- Manage and mentor Project Engineers, Assistant PMs, and junior staff
- Lead RFI, submittal, and change order processes, ensuring thorough documentation and response timelines
- Proactively resolve issues in the field and the office, mitigating risk and keeping projects on track
Qualifications
- 7–15+ years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5+ years focused on multifamily projects
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle delivery of large-scale ground-up multifamily projects ($25M–$75M+)
- Strong financial management and contractual negotiation skills
- Deep understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and compliance
- Experience with project management platforms like Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- PMP or LEED credentials are a plus, but not required
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead diverse project teams
