Job Title: Events Production Manager
Employment Status: Full time, permanent, exempt
Salary: $80,000 to $82,400, DOE
- Salary is adjusted for local market rates
Position Summary
The Events Production Manager will oversee the production and event process, coordinating all production operations to deliver a high-quality experience for clients and guests. Responsibilities include scheduling production staff, managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, developing workflows, and filling roles such as stage management, lighting, audio, video, and live streaming support. The role involves collaborating with the event team to ensure technical excellence and safety.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Determine technical support needs for events and performances in advance.
- Supervise technical staff, providing leadership, training, and evaluations.
- Advise on technical specifications and oversee implementation of designs.
- Coordinate communication with Event Coordinators, facilities, and security teams.
- Manage loading, rehearsals, event operations, and load-out to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor safety practices and operational systems in event spaces.
- Provide on-site support during events, acting as roles such as Audio Engineer, Lighting Technician, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Events.
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge:
- B.A. or B.F.A. in Theater Studies or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in theater and live event technical environments.
- Previous supervisory experience.
Abilities/Attributes:
- Knowledge of lighting, rigging, live streaming, audio/video tech, projections, and 3D Mapping.
- Experience with A/V systems such as grandMA2, ETC, Medialon, Yamaha QL5, QSC Q-Sys, Meyer, JBL, Tannoy, Crestron, Alcorn McBride, Watchout, Seventh Sense, LG, Christie, Panasonic, Planar.
- Understanding of IT networking (CAT6/6A, Fiber).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and certifications.
- Ability to understand complex contracts.
- Knowledge of back-of-house facility maintenance.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Calmness under pressure and troubleshooting skills.

- Customer service skills for interacting with guests, talent, staff, and vendors.
