Role Overview: The Mid-Market Specialist Solutions Engineers at AHEAD are technical experts collaborating with account teams to identify, qualify, and build solutions supporting our customers' digital transformation. The Modern Datacenter Specialist Solutions Engineer focuses on datacenter technologies including storage, compute, virtualization, and data protection, serving as a subject matter expert and thought leader.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in the Mid-Market SSE and service delivery teams.
- Design and architect technical solutions as a thought leader for Mid-Market clients.
- Support sales by providing advice and proposals tailored to customer needs.
- Develop relationships with team members, leaders, and partners.
- Lead technical sales calls and strategize sales approaches.
- Complete pre-sales documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Qualify sales opportunities based on technical requirements and decision processes.
- Present solutions and business justifications to clients and management.
- Mentor entry-level team members.
- Maintain strong knowledge of relevant products, technologies, and industry trends.
- Travel up to 20% as required.
Education and Experience:
- Expertise in Storage (Block & File), Compute, and Virtualization (e.g., VMware Cloud Foundation).
- Experience with Data Protection solutions (Dell, Rubrik, Commvault, etc.).
- Familiarity with Cisco UCS, Dell MX, PowerScale, PowerFlex, and hyperconverged platforms.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
- Experience with VMware and virtualization technologies.
- Vendor experience with Dell, Pure Storage, Nutanix, Cisco, etc.
- Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading technical pre-sales or sales campaigns.
- Ability to work under pressure and influence outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented.
- Customer-focused and results-driven.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex datacenter environments.

The compensation range reflects On-Target Earnings (OTE), including base salary and target bonuses, variable based on experience, qualifications, and location.
