GreenMet is looking for a full-time, early-career Government Affairs Specialist to join our Washington, D.C. team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or emerging professional who wants to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of public policy, national security, and critical minerals.

In this role, you’ll work closely with our experienced policy team and company leadership to:

  • Track and summarize legislative and regulatory developments related to energy, natural resources, and national security
  • Assist in building relationships with policymakers, government agencies, and industry partners
  • Support the development of advocacy strategies and policy positions
  • Help draft policy briefs, internal memos, and external communications
  • Represent GreenMet at relevant hearings, events, and stakeholder meetings

You’ll be part of a small, fast-paced team where your ideas will be heard and your contributions will make a real impact.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn and ready to grow. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A strong interest in public policy, government affairs , or national security
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to analyze policy issues and stay organized in a dynamic environment
  • A collaborative spirit, with the confidence to work independently when needed
  • Prior internship or academic experience related to government, energy, or policy (a plus but not required)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, International Affairs, Environmental Studies, or a related field
