A respected law firm located in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced attorney through our legal recruiting agency to support its high-stakes Intellectual Property litigation practice. This role focuses on Hatch-Waxman patent litigation and regulatory issues involving pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate will have trial-level experience, a strong academic background, and the ability to manage complex patent cases from pre-filing to resolution.

Duties:

• Handle all phases of Hatch-Waxman litigation, including pre-suit analysis, discovery, and trial preparation
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and briefs in patent disputes
• Manage expert and fact discovery, including depositions and strategy development
• Collaborate with regulatory, IP, and scientific teams
• Interpret scientific data and pharmaceutical regulations for legal strategy
• Assist in client counseling and case development
• Engage with federal court procedures in IP cases

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Hatch-Waxman patent litigation or related life sciences IP matters
• Strong legal writing skills for briefs and motions
• Experience working in collaborative, high-pressure environments

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

State Bar admission required; federal court admission preferred

Skills:

• Legal research and writing

• Ability to understand scientific and technical concepts
• Background in chemistry, biology, or related sciences highly desirable
