Duties:

  • Represent clients in all stages of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and memoranda, to support insurance defense cases.
  • Manage depositions, witness interviews, and expert consultations as part of the discovery process.
  • Analyze legal issues and provide strategic recommendations related to coverage and defense strategies.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys, clients, and external partners to ensure optimal legal outcomes.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration processes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in California.
  • 1-5 years of litigation experience, with a preference for insurance defense or similar fields.
  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • High commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Litigation and legal research proficiency.
