A premier boutique family law firm based in San Francisco is seeking a skilled and proactive Associate Attorney with 4–6 years of litigation experience to join its dynamic legal team. This role offers a unique opportunity to handle complex family law matters with flexibility through a remote-friendly work structure, while maintaining a strong presence in Bay Area courts and client meetings. The ideal candidate is ethical, detail-oriented, and adept at independently managing cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:
Litigation & Legal Strategy
Draft and respond to Requests for Orders (RFOs)
Handle law and motion hearings
Collaborate with partners on litigation strategy and trial preparation
Discovery & Case Management
Create and implement discovery plans
Draft and respond to discovery
Conduct and defend depositions
Prepare and argue discovery motions
Review, analyze, and manage evidence
Client & Case Oversight
Identify and assess key legal and procedural issues
Maintain organized case files using case management software
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
Requirements:
4–6 years of litigation experience (family law preferred)
Strong understanding of California family law procedure
Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively
Willingness to travel for court and client matters within the Bay Area
Capable of operating in a remote-first professional environment
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in California (required)
Skills:
Proficient in legal drafting and courtroom procedure
Effective communicator with strong client-relations skills
Highly organized and detail-focused
Comfortable using legal and case management software
Strategic thinker with ability to handle complex litigation matters
