The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives and talent initiatives with employees and leaders on the U.S. west retail team. This position will flex from strategic planning to day-to-day support of designated client groups.
The HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicates needs proactively to the business units and seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP has a business led mindset and maintains an effective level of business knowledge.
In this role, you will report directly to the Vice President, HRBP U.S./Canada and support our west region.
About The Job

  • Serves as the HR Business Partner for our US retail west organization by providing strategic support and hands-on team support with day-to-day HR needs including Employee Relations
  • Creates, drives, and executes strategic workforce planning, succession planning, and organization structure input to achieve business unit targets and milestones
  • Integrated partner in the Talent Acquisition process from recruitment through onboarding; encourage building strength through diversity and inclusion
  • Provides partnership to the business unit(s) to identify strategies to increase employee engagement through communications, policies, and practices
  • Develop people strategies and drive a performance-driven culture through talent management, performance management, and leadership development including coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions
  • Build team effectiveness by designing and delivering organizational interventions specific to the unique requirements of the business unit(s)
  • Identifies training needs for business unit(s) and individual executive coaching needs
  • Informs Centers of Excellence (COEs) on business needs and deploys core HR initiatives including annual performance review, Diversity Inclusion and Belonging, engagement and talent planning
  • Advocates business needs with COEs and adapts core HR initiatives for relevant deployment in client groups
  • Creates project plans that are business-aligned and ultimately drive to flawless execution
About You
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Broad HRBP experience; ER experience a must
  • Experience supporting variety of leadership styles and levels
  • Proficient in core HR concepts and practices
  • Role is based in San Francisco and requires 3 days a week in corporate office
  • Some travel will be required
This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $110,500 - $147,300 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
