A W/DBE owned full service law firm located in downtown Houston, seeks a commercial litigation attorney.

Firm that embraces work/life balance. No real billable requirement. Firm structures comp on 1800 solely as an fyi.

Seeking a commercial litigator who can manage cases without supervision. Immediate access to the courtroom.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

· Case management experience in a commercial litigation setting (handled case from inception to resolution);

· Experience preparing for and arguing motions, and taking/defending depositions;

· First or second chair trial experience;

· Strong knowledge of federal and state court practices and rules of civil procedure and evidence;

· Experience in litigating real estate disputes, employment disputes, liens, construction claims, wrongful foreclosure, wrongful possession of property, and loan servicing issues a plus;

· Experience in bankruptcy preference claims a plus;

· Demonstrated ability to handle high volume and be highly responsive to client needs;

· Completely and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys;

· Ability to work effectively with others as part of a team and efficiently delegate work amongst other team members; and,

· Portable business a plus.

Requirements:

Juris Doctor.

Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas.

Position is in-office.
