Defense Attorney

A law firm seeks a Defense Attorney specializing in premises liability, bodily injury, and professional liability to join their insurance practice group in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience, with a strong preference for those with commercial litigation and bodily injury litigation experience. This position offers a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement , but candidates must reside in Florida.

Duties

• Research case details and evidence, review client documentation, and applicable law.
• Interpret case law and analyze decisions from other courts.
• Draft defensive motions, including motions for protective orders and motions to quash.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, legal memorandums, and settlement agreements.
• Appear in court to defend a client's rights and best interests.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in Florida.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work well in a team.
• Highly motivated and self-starter.
• Professional with good business acumen.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
