Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Irvine, CA, is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Trial Attorney through a legal recruiting partner. The role requires extensive litigation experience, including managing cases from intake to verdict. The attorney will work closely with plaintiffs and lead litigation efforts across a range of injury-related matters. A strong candidate will be organized, strategic, and confident in courtroom advocacy.
Duties:
- Represent clients in personal injury claims, including auto accidents, premises liability, and product-related injuries
- Manage full litigation lifecycle, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial
- Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, memoranda, and discovery responses
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert professionals
- Prepare for and appear at mediations, hearings, and trials
- Work directly with clients, guiding the litigation process
- Coordinate with expert witnesses, including report drafting and testimony prep
- Develop trial strategy, jury instructions, verdict forms, and related materials
- Handle legal research and law-and-motion practice, including summary judgment and discovery disputes
- Review and summarize medical records relevant to case development
- Supervise support staff and paralegals involved in case work
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of civil litigation experience with trial involvement
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously
- Proven experience leading cases to verdict
- Prior supervision of legal support teams is preferred
- Fluent Spanish language skills are a plus
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Skills:
- Strong client-facing and interpersonal abilities
- Advanced knowledge of civil litigation procedure
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting
- High level of initiative and organizational skill
