The Classification Analyst position involves classification review and analysis of work packages to be performed at various labs, as well as conducting classification assessments of field offices.

The Classification Analyst position involves classification review and analysis of work packages to be performed at various labs, as well as conducting classification assessments of field offices.
Responsibilities

  • Receive Strategic Intelligence Partnership Program (SIPP) Packages for classification review and verify that an appropriate classification guide is on file matching the referenced guide. If no classification guide is on file, coordinate with sponsor to obtain.
  • Review and verify that SIPP package classification is consistent between the package documents, to include Determination and Findings, Statement of Work, funding document, and other package documents as needed. If incorrect or inconsistent, coordinate with sponsor to remediate.
  • Review and verify that SIPP package classification and referenced classification guide does not conflict with agency classification guidance. If in conflict, work with the Field Intelligence Enterprise (FIE) sponsor and IN officials to resolve.
  • Review and verify that SIPP package classification and referenced classification guide does not conflict with organization classification guidance and other agency guidance on the same or similar projects. If in conflict, work with the FIE, sponsors and IN officials to resolve.
  • Provide a close review of OGA Special Access Program (SAP) work packages to ensure proper classification is provided to the organization. Ensure proper guides have been transferred to Labs to govern SAP and coordinate read-in requirements for the Director of SIPP and track and coordinate read-in list with organization offices when necessary.
  • Able to obtain Derivative classifier certification to complete annual training and be responsible for protecting classified information and ensuring it is marked appropriately and should be knowledgably about classification management techniques.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of work experience related to classification review and/or assessments.
  • Exhibit evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills and a proven ability to perform in an outstanding manner and deliver high-quality work products under tight deadlines.
    • Able to internalize technical facts, spot discrepancies, process data, develop well- reasoned arguments/conclusions.
    • Able to effectively convey deliverables both orally and in writing to Senior Directors.
  • Excellent grasp of Federal intelligence documents, how and why to classify them, and possess a strong understanding of the Federal activities regarding classification regulations, classification guidance, and how various intelligence agencies interact regarding classification coordination.
  • Strong proficiency working with large quantities of information and capable of reviewing data timely and comprehensively.
  • Experience in program or project classification management and interaction with the national laboratories and/or the Intelligence Community.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred, Bachelor’s degree desirable.
  • The selection of an individual for this position may be conditioned upon his or her successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
  • Must have an active Top-Secret or DOE Q clearance.
Salary range $80,000 - $120,000
