Job Title: LDRP Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 3 years in LDRP License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (advanced preferred), STABLE Must-Have: 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery Ability to titrate drips Experience with high-risk obstetric patients Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse with a specialty in Labor and Delivery. Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of experience in an LDRP setting. The workload will include managing labor, delivery, postpartum, and triage patients. The unit handles obstetric and antepartum patients, with a focus on postpartum management. Common patient conditions include gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, and pre-eclampsia. RNs are expected to manage and titrate various drips such as pitocin and magnesium sulfate. Additional responsibilities include working with other medications like labetalol and TXA. The charge nurse on each shift will take an assignment and support the unit. Registered Nurses are encouraged to scrub for procedures. There is an on-call OB and neonatologist available 24/7. Anesthesia and respiratory therapy support are present around the clock. RNs will be required to read telemetry strips in specific situations. The scheduling process considers worker preferences and sleep patterns. Weekend work is required every third weekend, along with holidays as needed. Traveling nurses may float to various units including pediatrics, med-surg, and ICU as needed. Surgical scrubs will be provided for all staff members.
