We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position is a great opportunity for RNs with a passion for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. As a vital member of our Stepdown & MedSurg Unit, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical conditions. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring to observe patient heart rhythms, with the capability of interpreting and acting on findings.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Work effectively with nursing aides and other healthcare staff, ensuring proper staffing ratios are upheld.
- Participate in patient and family education, promoting wellness and disease prevention. **Unit Description:**
- The unit consists of 32 total beds, including 12 stepdown and 20 MedSurg beds.
- Patient ratios: 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:4-6 for MedSurg.
- Common patient diagnoses include Chest Pain, COPD, Abdominal Pain, Pneumonia, UTIs, and overflow services.
- Registered Nurses are expected to manage titratable drips while providing essential care and support. **Requirements:**
- Valid RN license with a current BLS certification.
- Previous experience in a med-surg or stepdown unit is preferred.
- Strong critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as per staff scheduling requirements.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an address outside of 50 miles from the facility. **Orientation & Scheduling:**
- Initial orientation will be provided. Shifts are from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday work required. **What We Offer:**
