**Job Title: Night Shift Nurse - Medsurg/Stepdown/Tele Units** **Position Summary:**
Join a dynamic team as a Night Shift Nurse, providing exceptional care in Medsurg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units. This position involves working 12-hour shifts on weekends, specifically from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with block scheduling options available. As a vital member of our nursing staff, you will utilize your skills in various specialty areas, including General Medicine, Oncology, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, and Stepdown care. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Medsurg, Stepdown, and Telemetry settings.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, documenting information accurately using the EPIC charting system.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Participate in patient education and provide support to families. **Unit Overview:**
Transfers made to various units, including:
- 8 EAST - MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor)
- 8 WEST - Stepdown/Floor
- 6E - Long-term antibiotic infusion unit
- 7 EAST - Trauma & General Surgery Inpatient Unit
- 10 EAST - Neuro Stepdown & EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit)
- 9 EAST - Surgical Oncology/MedSurg (Stepdown & Floor) **Requirements:**
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Epic experience is mandatory; previous Level 1 trauma experience is preferred.
- Must possess strong skills in Stepdown, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General medicine, and Oncology.
- Nurses must have a valid license and a drivers license address outside 50 miles from the facility. **Patient Ratios:**
- 1:3 for Stepdown units
- 1:6 for Medsurg/Telemetry units **Contract Information:**
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
