CLIENT PARTNER PROFILE & VALUE PROPOSITION: Leapros has been engaged by a global logistics leaded based in North Orange County, CA to fill a Human Resources Generalist position. This role is contract to hire and is fully onsite.

POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Generalist

POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our client's Human Resources team in Cypress, CA. This individual will play a key role in supporting our employees across multiple states, with a strong focus on health benefits administration, medical leave management, and workers compensation coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now systems, applied knowledge of HR compliance, and the ability to effectively support a diverse and dynamic workforce.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Administer and manage employee health and welfare benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and annual open enrollment.
  • Coordinate and manage medical, personal, and FMLA/CFRA leave processes, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Oversee the administrative management of workplace injuries, including processing claims, coordinating return-to-work programs, and managing workers compensation benefits in collaboration with insurance carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, leave, workers comp, and HR policies.
  • Know how to process employee changes in ADP Workforce Now, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and leaves of absence.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reporting of all HR-related activities.
  • Partner with payroll to ensure coordinated HR operations.
  • Support general HR functions such as onboarding, employee relations, and HRIS data integrity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 4 years of HR Generalist or related HR experience.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.
  • Multi-state HR experience is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of benefits and leave administration, including FMLA, CFRA, and ADA.
  • Knowledge of workers compensation regulations and experience managing claims is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.

PAY TRANSPARENCY: A reasonable estimate of the available {annual or hourly} pay scale for this position is: $36-38 per hour. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
